What is the Launchpad Entrepreneurship Program?

The Launchpad Entrepreneurship Program is a 10-week virtual course designed for aspiring and/or early-stage entrepreneurs. It is a collaboration between the Village of Matteson and TRIBE Insights, aimed at providing participants with the knowledge and tools needed to start and grow their businesses, starting with the most important asset, a business plan.
When does the program start and end?

The program runs from January 14, 2025 to March 20, 2025.
What is the schedule for the virtual classes?

Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The first day of class is January 14, 2025 and the last day is Thursday, March 20, 2025. Each student will receive free business coaching at the conclusion of the course on March 25 or March 27, 2025. Upon successful completion of the course, students may be invited to the exclusive Launchpad Facebook community. How much does the program cost?

The program fee is $350 for Matteson businesses/residents and $500 for non-residents.
What is covered in the program?

The program covers various topics, including entrepreneurial lifestyle, business concept development, market research, business model design, legal strategy, financial management, team building, and funding strategies. It is based on the Kauffman FastTrac Course Curriculum.
Who is eligible to apply for the program?

Eligible applicants should have a business idea or a start-up/new business that is less than 3 years old and has less than $250,000 in annual sales. While the program is open to everyone, business owners/businesses must be based in Matteson to qualify for the discounted rate.
Are there any financial aid opportunities or grants available?

Yes, participants may be awarded up to $15,000 in business grants, which include cash and in-kind services such as marketing or HR support, bookkeeping, financial planning, executive coaching and more.
